QUOTES ABOUT INDIA:

Albert Einstein said: We owe a lot to the
Indians, who taught us how to count, without
which no worthwhile scientific discovery could
have been made.
Mark Twain said: India is the cradle of the
human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother
of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great
grand mother of tradition. Our most valuable and most
structive materials in the history of man are treasured
up in India only.
French scholar Romain Rolland said: If there is
one place on the face of earth where all
the dreams of living men have found a home from
the very earliest days when man began the dream
of existence, it is India.
Hu Shih, former Ambassador of China to USA said:
India conquered And dominated China culturally
for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single
soldier across her border.

All the above is just the TIP of the iceberg, the
list could be endless. BUT, if we don't see even a
glimpse of that great India in the India That we see
today, it
clearly means that we are not working up to our
Potential and that if we do, we could once
again; be an ever shining and Inspiring country
setting a bright path for rest of the world to follow.
I Hope you enjoyed it and work towards the welfare
of INDIA. PROUD to be an INDIAN.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood ......

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same, 10

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back. 15

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. 20

Mom, You told me not to drink ....

I went to a party, And remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom
So I had a sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself,
The way you said I would,
That I didn't drink and drive,
Though some friends said I should.

I made a healthy choice,
And your advice to me was right,
The party finally ended,
And the kids drove out of sight.

I got into my car,
Sure to get home in one piece,
I never knew what was coming, Mom
Something I expected least.

Now I'm lying on the pavement,
And I hear the policeman say,
The kid that caused this wreck was drunk,
Mom, his voice seems far away.

My own blood's all around me,
As I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say,
This girl is going to die.

I'm sure the guy had no idea,
While he was flying high,
Because he chose to drink and drive,
Now I would have to die.

So why do people do it, Mom
Knowing that it ruins lives?
And now the pain is cutting me,
Like a hundred stabbing knives.

Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom
Tell daddy to be brave,
And when I go to heaven,
Put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.

Someone should have taught him,
That it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had,
I'd still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom
I'm getting really scared.
These are my final moments,
And I'm so unprepared.

I wish that you could hold me Mom,
As I lie here and die.
I wish that I could say, "I love you, Mom!"
So I love you and good-bye.

Unable to take a career move. Please guide me .......

From: ICSI (Public Relations & Corporate Communication)
Date: Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 1:03 PM

Dear Sir,
A professional course always provides an immense oppotunity to pursue a good professional career to a person.
Unlike in Government Sector where age is a major factor for getting a job, other Private organisation and MNCs prefer to have employees with better professional accumen combined with good soft skills.
Company Secretaries profession has career opportunities both in employment and in public practice. The profession is becoming progressively synonymous with corporate governance and corporate compliance management.
in employment :
Every company which is presently having a paid up share capital of Rs.2 crore or more is, by law, required to appoint a whole time Company Secretary to look after the legal compliance and secretarial work of the company. This provides a huge opportunity for employment.

in public practice
Every company having a paid up share capital Rs. Ten Lakhs or more but less than Rs. Two Crores is required to engage the services of a Secretary in Whole-Time Practice for issue of Compliance Certificate. Pursuant to Clause 49 of the Listing Agreement, Practising Company Secretaries have been authorized to issue Certificate regarding compliance of conditions of Corporate Governance as stipulated in the Clause.

A Company Secretary in public practice ("Practising Company Secretary") carves out niche areas of professional work in various fields like corporate governance certification, securities audit, corporate compliance management, corporate finance, mergers, amalgamations and takeovers, Intellectual Property Rights, secretarial audit, direct and indirect taxes, MRTP and competition law, etc.

For the consultancy job like "Practising Company Secretary" age is never going to be a factor in professional career.

Job profile of a CS
A Company Secretary employed in a company gets a ringside view of the functioning at board meetings. Corporate governance demands excellence in board process and systems. Preparation of Agenda and notes thereon, informationalizing the board, helping in leadership and decision making at the board level all require upto date knowledge base and high degree of communication and interpersonal skills.
A Company Secretary also has to act as a nucleus of coordination and communication with various positions at the executive levels in the company, with regulators and with shareholders and other stakeholders. In executing strategic board decisions like merger or takeover, Company Secretary has to act swiftly keeping all precious corporate secrets and complying with all legal and regulatory provisions.
In the field of complicated yet prestigious legislations like competition law, securities laws and regulations, he has to maintain the prestige and goodwill of the company intact.
The job profile of Company Secretary in employment is, thus, albeit glamourous, studded with heavy responsibilities. He has to show enormous efficiencies and skill to succeed in the job.

Necessary qualifications to venture into this field:
A 10+2 pass student can register for the Foundation Programme of the Institute and pass it in order to be eligible to register in the regular course consisting of Executive Programme and Professional Programme.
A candidate possessing any of the following qualifications is eligible for exemption from passing the Foundation Programme examination:

(ii) Pass in the Final examination of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or any other Accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognized as equivalent thereto by the Council; or
(iii) A degree or master's degree in any disciplines other than Fine Arts.
A non-commerce candidate seeking exemption from the Foundation Programme examination in clause (iii) however is required to undergo satisfactorily a course of postal or oral tuition in those subjects of the Foundation Programme, which he had not studied at graduate or post-graduate level before becoming eligible for undergoing coaching for the Executive Programme examination.

After passing the Professional Programme, the candidate may undergo training for a period of fifteen months in a company of a certain size or any other institutional organization as may be approved by the Council from time to time.
A candidate who has passed the Executive Programme Examination of the Institute may also commence his training with companies or under a Company Secretary in practice or a firm of Company Secretaries in practice, recognized for the purpose by the Institute with prior approval and sponsorship from the Institute for fifteen months.

Subject: Unable to take a career move. Please guide me .......
Dear Sir,

I am  from Hyderabad and just have a Bachelor's degree in Science (BSc - Comp.Sc). I have been working as a recruiter in an MNC for quite a while. But I am not satisfied.

I want to hold a professional degree. Though I am currently pursuing CFA from ICFAI, Tripura, I still want to go for one of the courses like CA / CWA / CS. But considering my age I am avoiding them. I know that age is not a factor to consider for these courses. But what after that. By the time I complete them I will be around ... So will there be any job prospects for a fresher at that age?

I want to know which one among CA/ CWA / CS would be more easier, quicker and profitable to go for at my age. I want to step in to a highly rewarding career which can start showing the results at an early stage. Please advise me.

Yours Sincerely,

I see the change .... wish you could see it ...

As the 'Gina Whitacre' said in his poem,

"Change is uncontrollable,
Change is inevitable,
Change is the unknown.

Change is essential to our evolution.

Change is going to happen,
In fact, it happens every day,
Maybe it is too small to see, or perhaps we would rather not see it.

If we were to allow change to happen freely,
We might find solutions to the problems that exist around us,
"

Today I see the change in me and I wish you could see it !!!

Famous first words: Michael Duncan on Charles Henri Ford

Famous first words: Michael Duncan on Charles Henri Ford - Passages -
Biography
ArtForum,  Jan, 2003  by Michael Duncan

IN THIS SUGAR-FREE ERA, what artist has a life more interesting than his
art? The death of Charles Henri Ford (1908-2002) puts the capper on a time
when precociousness and chutzpah were art forms in themselves. In 1927, on
the eve of his nineteenth birthday, Ford wrote in his diary: "In two years
I will be famous. In two years I will be famous. In two years I will be
famous. In two years I will be famous. In two years I will be famous. In
two years I will be famous. This is my oath."

Not missing a beat, the poetry-besotted high school dropout started a
little magazine out of his small-town Mississippi bedroom, christening it
with the hip title Blues: A Magazine of New Rhythms. He announced the first
issue just as longtime literary journals The Dial and the Little Review
were folding, so even well-known writers like Gertrude Stein and William
Carlos Williams answered with submissions. Besides the big names, Ford
introduced talents who confirmed his nose for the new: James Farrell,
Erskine Caldwell, and fellow oddball teen Paul Bowles.

Through Blues he struck up a correspondence with the flamboyant young
genius Parker Tyler, whose descriptions of boho Manhattan beckoned him to
that hotbed of poetry and available men. Intoxicated by the Village scene,
the two soon cobbled together a collaborative novel, The Young and the Evil
(1933), a fragmented record of cruising, drag balls, and brittle repartee.
Dame Edith Sitwell allegedly proclaimed it "entirely without soul like a
dead fish stinking in hell," an assessment that defines its lasting appeal
as a proto--Blank Generation artifact.

Managing to get to Europe, the fresh-faced ingenue had no problem gaining
access to the literary salons of Stein and Natalie Barney. While awaiting
publication of his novel, he briefly hooked up with Djuna Barnes in
Tangier, where they shared a rat-infested hovel while Ford typed the
manuscript of Nightwood. Back in Paris, he met the artist Pavel
Tchelitchew, a former Stein protege whose career was on the rise.
Tchelitchew--a brilliant, charismatic figure--was immediately taken with
the bright blue eyes, sharp mind, and boyish demeanor of what he called "my
darling huckleberries finn." In the luminous Portrait of Charles Henri Ford
in Poppy Field, 1933, Tchelitchew depicted his youthful lover with a golden
halo formed by stacks of hay--an inside joke, according to Tyler, based on
the Russian artist's misinterpreting Ford's written reference to "wet
dreams" as "wheat dreams." The love-struck Tchelitchew followed Ford back
to New York, where, after some domestic readjustments, the two eventually
established the mselves in a sunlit East Side penthouse.

Their tempestuous twenty-six-year liaison-lasting until Tchelitchew's
death--was one of the great gay relationships, despite its bumps and
indiscretions. Although never at ease with his secondary role, Ford
provided unwavering support for Tchelitchew's art and tolerance for his
high-strung volatility. Discord arose largely from Tchelitchew's powerful
friends--Lincoln Kirstein, the Sitwells, the collector Edward James--who
saw Ford as an opportunist. But Ford lived to score an odd kind of revenge
on the past: the publication of Water from a Bucket: A Diary 1948-1957
(Turtle Point, 2001), a scattered, gossipy account of love affairs and
failed writing projects that ends in the gruesome, tasteless chronicling of
Tchelitchew's health problems and death.

Beyond the bitchiness, Ford will be most remembered as editor of View,
America's last and best magazine of the avant-garde, which ran from 1940 to
1947. With a penchant for the unexpected and an unerring eye for quality,
View mixed fiction and poetry with features on Max Ernst, Tchelitchew, Man
Ray, Fernand Leger, and Isamu Noguchi, all of whose commissions graced its
covers. View was the first little magazine to publish translations of work
by Raymond Roussel, Jorge Luis Borges, Albert Camus, Jean Genet, and
Jean-Paul Sartre. The 1945 Marcel Duchamp issue was the first monograph on
the artist and featured a cutout collage cover.

View also put an American spin on the Surrealist sensibility. Aztec and
Native American poetry were featured, as well as Joseph Cornell's
worshipful paean to Hedy Lamarr. The magazine was formative for associate
editor Parker Tyler--perhaps the most underrated critic in American
letters. His later books on Tchelitchew, Florine Stettheimer, Holly-wood
film, and experimental cinema all had their seeds in View essays.

Most important, View was a quiet yet crucial force kindling underground
American culture. Touchstones of the decade to come like Henry Miller,
Bowles, Philip Lamantia, Paul Goodman, and Marshall McLuhan all published
in the magazine. Its brand of poetic Surrealism in particular seems to have
spilled over to the West Coast Beats. In the mid-'50s, Los Angeles artist
George Herms remembers excitedly perusing a pile of Views in Wallace
Berman's living room on Crater Lane.

In his last five decades Ford produced poetry, photography, collages, and
an experimental film. He appeared in a Warhol screen test and cavorted for
Jack Smith. Longtime stints in Crete and Nepal alternated with a small home
base in the Dakota on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. As always, he was a
repository of the bewildering, fragmented encounters that define hip art
culture. In her introduction to Water from a Bucket, Lynne Tillman
describes his diary as an "itinerary of lived attitudes" delivered "in bits
and pieces, a collage, or...cut up." Ford's mid-'90s haiku, issued on a
handout at "Alive and Kicking," his recent exhibition at the Scene Gallery,
New York, defines his art of enduring:

 I don't know how to

Take all this information

Stash under your hat.

Los Angeles-based independent curator and critic MICHAEL DUNCAN's most
recent show, "LA Post-Cool," can be seen at the San Jose Museum of Art
through March 23. Duncan is currently assembling retrospectives of the work
of Kim MacConnel and Richard Pettibone, and his "High Drama: Eugene Berman
and the Melancholic Sublime" will open at the McNay Art Museum, San
Antonio, in summer 2004. He has written for LA Weekly, the Los Angeles
Times, and Art in America, where he is a corresponding editor. In this
issue, Duncan remembers American avant-gardist Charles Henri Ford, who died
last year at the age of ninety-four.

youtube.com.. Do you know any good songs that are in youtube?

Well, my love life... Remember I told you about Viljami? I dated him

Terhi: [Sinulle!]
Hi!!
I am sorry that I haven´t written to you sooner. I´ve been busy because now that I am working at the library, I feel that i don´t have any free time.. tell me how thinks are there? and How are you?
(Sinulle= To you)
And now it is Christmas. You must know a lot about it.. Tell me something about your Hindu holidays! Is there any occation when you give each other presents? (This Christmas I got 16 presents!!; Mikko gave me 6 presents!) And tell me how do you selebrate the New Year?
Wouldn´t you be afraid if some maniac pointed a gun at your face?? To my mind, it´s not wise not to be afraid. If you don´t be afraid of anything, it means you live it all up to fate, and there is no fate.. Altough God is with us at all times, horrible things happen. That is becouse God gave people a free will. That is why he´s not going to stop all the maniacs from hurting other people and animals. if you can be afraid, you can also be careful.
Engagement is a promise of marriage. You must have heard about it. I don´t know when we are going to get married.. After Mikko has finished his army, we are going to move together. Tiina isn´t engaged.
Did you really mean that "date need to be always getting together physically or sexually"? then how many girls have you had sex with?
by the way, do you like girls with a blonde hair? Tiina is blonde..
I am happy that you want sent to me a real post! I can´t wait.. in messenger you asked about showers, so don´t you have them? Do you know what sauna is? Almost every Finn has their own sauna.
Can you keep a secret? I want to tell you something about my dad. He has problems with alcohol, and almost every weekend he is drunk.. and Christmas is no exception.. I hate that. thank God Mikko doesn´t drink at all.. What about you, do you drink alcohol? Or do you smoke? Both of my parents smoke, and I hate that.. Mikko used to smoke, but thankfully he stopped it becouse I asked him.
My address is:

Well, now I have to go because my mother wants to go to this computer..
I try to write you more often from now on. Have fun!

Terhi: [Iltaa]
Iltaa!
So you saw where I live. I think you liked that fact that there is so much green. I love that too. It's really nice to take a walk in the forest. It's so peaceful in there.
Finland's Independence Day was on 6th of this month. Next year Finland will be 90 years old! My grand-dads were in war, but now they are dead. But, I was saying that we don't sing national anthem together… we Finnish are shy and quiet people. Don't tell anyone!
Okey, you wanted to know something about my parents. My dad is a carpenter and my mum is.. you know, my dictionary didn't tell me what hers job is in English!! But.. you are not going to be happy about this, she sell meat. What else do you wanna know about them?
Don't you are scared of anything? Did you mean that your dog, Silky, is missing? I am sorry about that. I'm not afraid all the dogs.. if I see a very calm dog, then I don't freak out..
You know, I am very sensitive, and I easily be offended. I am not easy person to be with, so I am happy that Mikko wants to be with me. I am also very childlike, and most men wants to get married with "woman", while I am just a girl..Even I am already 20, I just can't think myself as an adult, because there is so much to learn about life. On the other hand, one of my friend said that I remind her of her mother (!), so maybe I am not so childlike that I think myself.. But tell me what do you think about me?
Forgive me, I feel I asked too personal questions on the messenger.. I'm just so curious that I want to know everything about you! I understand that you don't want to be with too many girls before you get married. You know, Mikko is my first (good) boyfriend. Have I told you that we are engaged?
Thank you for your good advices about success and failures. You are really sweet when you tell me something like this.
I already knew that my number was seven, but thanks for telling me what that holds inside! It was interesting, but I didn't understand that all, so I have to ask my sister Tiina to translate that when she comes back to Finland. By the way, she comes back in next Friday! Can you tell me your number and what they tell about that, and it would also be nice to hear about Mikko´s number! But you don't have to tell me, if that takes too much time. He was born in 19th of December,1985.
As you know, I don't have many friends, but those friends that I have, are very close (like you!). I want to tell you about one of my friend. Hers name is Katja. I found her in the internet just like I found you. I have been writing to her almost three years. I have even met her once! I have told you that before, if you remember. Recently she told me that likes only girls. That was a quite surprise, but I don't mind about that, because she is so good friend of mine. But tell me what do you think about homosexuals? My parents don't approve that.
I think it was really lovely that you made that page to our mails. And I like that internet-address very much, because you but that word "Tuuli" in it!! That page it also very modern. I hope that I didn't upset you by telling you that I don't anyone else to read our mails. You know that I can't tell you anything personal if I know that others will read our mails. That password you gave me, terhinde, sounds really nice! How did you game up with that kind of word?
Now you know that I live in Sammalpolku. In English it would be something like "moss path"! I think it´s a cute name for street! If I give you my address, would you like to send me a card or a letter…? It would be a really really nice to get some mail from you, because you are so important friend to me!! But of course you don't have to, if you don't want, or if it's too expensive. Please, just tell me if I am asking too much. You know, I can also send you a card or a letter. I think I could send you some photos too, foe example. What do you say?
I wish that our friendship will last through our lives..It´s not easy to find a good friend. I am so lucky to have such a nice friend!
It's getting late, so must go now. But our internet is working again, so now I don't have to wait for the weekend. I mean that I can write you on week also!
Your forever,
Terhi

[Re: Iltaa]
Terhi,
When I consider you as my friend and when you consider me in the same way. Then there is no point in thinking something is personal. Infact good friends share their personal matters and thoughts. So I dont feel I need to hide something from you or divert you from not answering to your questions. Frankly speaking you are very much in my life and family. Even my mother knows your name. Not only that, she also knows about pepe, mikko, tiina etc…
So what do you think of me? I am open minded. And never have problems in sharing personal matters with anyone whom I feel as mine and a part of my life. Even you hold that position. So I say it.
Yes I saw your place and liked it very much. Forest or nature I love them.
Finland is 90 and India is nearing 60. So you have a lineage of freedom fighters. Glad to know that.
Scared, why should I? I believe in God and He is with me all the time.
Terhi, you will be in the same way as you think strongly. 20yrs is not much age. but many gals get married even before 20. So its a good age to get married or have partner to continue the life with. And you are having it – Mikko. So when will be your marriage???
What do you mean by engaged??? What type of relation you are maintaining?
A relation between a gal and a guy need not be always a date. And a date need not be always getting together physically or sexually. Thats my opinion. You know last week I came across two new gals — Sonal and Smriti. They are helping me a lot in grooming myself thereby my personality.
By the way what about Tiina. Is she engaged with anyone…..???
I am glad that you want to know about me. I know you and your thoughts. Infact they brought me closer to you.
About Mikko!!!
"Your path is philanthropy, loving service to the peoples of Earth. You are a humanitarian with an innate sense of idealism, tolerance, and compassion, giving up personal ambitions and possessions if the general good demands it. You have an impressive personality and power to influence others. At times you are somewhat naive in your anticipation of the joy you believe is coming.
Your spiritual sensitivity and holistic feelings for humanity encompass a wide range — compassion, generosity, sympathy, tolerance. You have a vivid imagination.
You easily and joyfully serve your fellow man, tending to place others before yourself and give your Love, sympathy, help, and understanding without stint. You would like to see perfection in marriage, self, and the whole world.
Your opportunities are among emotional, artistic, and inspirational people, in fields that serve broad segments of mankind."
About me:
"You are a humanitarian and idealist, with a path of serving mankind, doing worthwhile things for yourself and those close to you, and teaching by being an example of kindness, justice, truth, and responsibility. One of your challenges along your life path is to establish emotional balance and stability.
Your path is one of rendering service to those in need. Your strong sense of family is extended to the community, the state, and even the world. Learn to recognize when the demands of others are an effort to take advantage of your generosity rather than a true need. Finding tranquility in your home may be hard work for you, but once achieved the result can be tasteful surroundings and harmonious social and familial intercourse.
You can succeed at anything when the purpose is helping and serving others. You have a strong idealism and are at your best when you directly benefit the lives of others. "
Sorry, I dont understand about homosexuals. So we dont have them here.
Sending posts, good idea but you have to wait for a while. As I am busy these days with my exams… but cant say when I will send you a post. And I will definitely do that in the coming year!!! By the way give me your address again…… with Number, Street Name, City/ Town, State, Country, PIN/ZIP Code.
And mine is

Terhi [To my great friend]:
On Dec 3, 2006 2:17 AM
Hei!
You are so polite! Thank you! Actually I smile in that picture.. just a little bit! Mikko took that picture in his room, and back that time, there was quite a mess, so maybe that is why he didn´t want to show any background! I stand infront of the window.. And behind me you can see a part of my painting.. Becouse you sent me a picture, I wanted to send you something back, so I asked Mikko to take a picture of me. So that picture was taken just for you..
I saw your profile in the messenger, and there you said you play guitar! You haven´t tell me that! Are you good in that? I can´t play any instrument, and I can´t even sing at all.. alltough I like singing, but nobady likes to be in the same room whit me then..!
There is many wooden houses in Finlad. I would like to live in a brick-house..becouse I think they are safer.. I am afraid of many things.. like dark.. and even dogs! I hate that.. And it´s really ridiculous.. I mean I would like to have a dog of my own, but still if I´m on a walk, and I see a dog who is free, I have to turn back!
Tiina wants to be a translater. She went to england with her english course, and she is staying whit a host family. Yes, Iam touch with her, trough email and sometimes phone. And yes, Tiina has a little collection of Dickens, and others.. Those books are all in english, becouse she likes to read english.. she even things in english! I haven´t read those book, becouse I like differend kind of novels.. Don´t you read any novels?
If Tiina wants to know something about you, I am sure she will ask. She has some email-friends, and she told me to get some penpals.. So, without her, we wouldn´t never met.. But I think it was no coincidence.. I think our friendship was made to last.. You are a genuine friend too..
Thanks for your advises.. But becouse Finland is such a small country, there is very few jobs places.. And becouse of that, there are not many studyin places.. And you have to be a really really good, if you want to go study. On those schools that I want to go, you can try to get in only once a year.. and last year I failed.. so I am going to try again next year.. I´m not going to go in university, so I can´t just join a course.. But luckily I get a practical traininfg place from library.. So now I can get some work experience atleast..
I don´t know those channels that you watch, becouse I have only that kind of antenna/ aerial, which shows finnish channels.. But I know Mr. Bean, it´s very fanny. I have seen them atleast a million times..! I watch series like The survivors, Amazing Race, Bones, CSI NY, and so on..
By the way, when is your birthday? I was born in 1986, 11th of august.. Mikko´s birthday is soon, and then he will be 21 years. Tell me a more about your other friends.. I will tell you about my friends next time..
Yesterday I went to bowling with Mikko. He won.. I like bowling. I also like swimming and skating on ice. I have never tried skating on roller skates.. Badminton is also very fun. Have you ever played ckricket? That could be fun..
I am glad that you liked that poem. Do you think that could tell about India? I mean.. would that place be india where that all happened? I am suprised that you know Lawrence Hope. So do you know any other poems of his?
It was nice to chat whit you again on messenger. I wish we could do that more often. But now I must go. I hope I didn´t make too many spelling mistakes.. Now I couldn´t ask any help from Tiina..
Have a great week!
Yours,
Terhi

So you are scared of dogs…. I was bitten by dogs for two times and took some injections. You know we had a sweet dog at our house and its name is Silky. Now we dont know its where abouts. Anyway dogs rarely bite and they surely bite when you see them seriously or do some mischief.
Here we dont have that much time to read novels but still some keep it as a hobby.
Never get upset over failures. They happen and quite common in everybodys life. As you know failures are the stepping stones of success. But you should focus on things that went wrong and try not to repeat the same. All the best for your next attempt. May I know in which subjects or papers you have to clear this time…?\n
You have good taste in sports….
Well here we watch satellite channels. They opened up only ten years back.
Hey 11 is a master number. and your lifepath number is 7 I have some touch in numerology!!! check out this:
Number: 7
Your path is along the lines of research, investigation and mental analysis. This includes meditation and introspection. Your opportunities will often be brought to you without having to go get them. The manifestation of those opportunities tend to have something in common with quiet places away from bustle and confusion. \n
You work well with theories and fundamentals, seeking wisdom and hidden truths. When you use your own ideas and judgment, dedication, and scientific attitude, along with your intuition, your decisions will enable you to reach your goals.
You can be alone without feeling lonely. You respect intelligence and are continuously accumulating knowledge for yourself. You have an intense reasoning capacity.
Others will perceive you as having more warmth and less aloofness when you balance your knowledge and its pursuit with compassion and human sensitivity. That combination inspires wisdom.
Hey, I have to go…. bye .. catch you again

Terhi: [Teak Forest]
Hi !!
It must be nice to have such a meaninfull name! My whole name is Terhi Tuulikki Koivisto. My surname refers to a Finnish tree, koivu, which is birch. I have allready told you that my First name, Terhi, comes from Finland´s national epic. And my second name is Tuulikki. Tuuli is finnish and it means wind just like Pawan in Sanskrit!
How old are you in that picture that you send me? That house on the background looks really nice! I have included my picture to this message. I hope you can open it. Mikko thinks that I look weird in that picture.. I don´t know why, but you just can´t take good pictures of me!
No, you didn´t tell me that you moved into a new house. Your home sounded really nice! Our new house is two-storeyd and it is wooden house. It has three bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom (=Drawing room), toilet and bathroom, porch and small hall. Finally enough space for all of us! This house is three times bigger than our previous home!
My sister Tiina went to England to stydy English. She left last monday, and she will be there for four weeks. I would also like to stydy something! I´m not even working anywhere.. In Finland it is very difficould to get a job..
Oh! I should have know that in India there are no manga! Manga is Japanese comic. The style of the manga is very distinctive. Manga comics can be about anything, even porn, but I´m not reading that kind of manga!
I have seen many animated movies. They are very common in here, and I like them very much. But earlier I was tolking about Anime, and that is the same as manga, but you can see it in TV!
It was really nice to hear more about Hyderabad. By the way, whai is that Almirah which consits of all your books? Your books "Meditation" and "Mind power" sound really interesting and fascinating! I love books.. I have many books, some are about India. I also have novels and art books and many more..
Tiina wants to know if you have read any books from Charles Dickens or Mart Twain! She is big fan of them.
Hey! Have you ever heard about this amazing English poet, Lowrence Hope, who lived most of his life in India. He was born in the late 19 th century. He wrote this wonderfull poem, colled Teak Forest:
Whether I loved you who shall say?
Whether I drifted down your way
In the endless river of Chance and Change,
And you woke the strange
Unknown longings that have no names,
But burn us all in their hidden flames,
Who shall say?
Life is a strange and a wayward thing:
We heard the bells of the Temples ring,
The married children, in passing, sing.
The month of marriage, the month of spring,
Was full of the breath of sunburnt flowers
That bloom in a fiercer light than ours,
And, under a sky more fiercely blue,
I came to you!
You told me tales of your vivid life
Where death was cruel and danger rife–
Of deep forests, of poisoned trees,
Of pains and passions that scorch and freeze,
Of southern noontides and eastern nights,
Where love grew frantic with strange delights,
While men were slaying and maidens danced,
Till I, who listened, lay still, entranced.
Then, swift as a swallow heading south,
I kissed your mouth!
One night when the plains were bathed in blood
From sunset light in a crimson flood,
We wandered under the young teak trees
Whose branches whined in the light night breeze;
You led me down to the water's brink,
"The spring where the Panthers come to drink
At night; there is always water here
Be the season never so parched and sere."
Have we souls of beasts in the forms of men?
I fain would have tasted your life-blood then.
The night fell swiftly; this sudden land
Can never lend us a twilight strand
'Twixt the daylight shore and the ocean night,
But takes — as it gives — at once, the light.
We laid us down on the steep hillside,
While far below us wild peacocks cried,
And we sometimes heard, in the sunburnt grass,
The stealthy steps of the Jungle pass.
We listened; knew not whether they went
On love or hunger the more intent.
And under your kisses I hardly knew
Whether I loved or hated you.
But your words were flame and your kisses fire,
And who shall resist a strong desire?
Not I, whose life is a broken boat
On a sea of passions, adrift, afloat.
And, whether I came in love or hate,
That I came to you was written by fate
In every hue of the blood-red sky,
In every tone of the peacocks' cry.
While every gust of the Jungle night
Was fanning the flame you had set alight.
For these things have power to stir the blood
And compel us all to their own chance mood.
And to love or not we are no more free
Than a ripple to rise and leave the sea.
We are ever and always slaves of these,
Of the suns that scorch and the winds that freeze,
Of the faint sweet scents of the sultry air,
Of the half heard howl from the far off lair.
These chance things master us ever. Compel
To the heights of Heaven, the depths of Hell.
Whether I love you? You do not ask,
Nor waste yourself on the thankless task
I give your kisses at least return,
What matter whether they freeze or burn.
I feel the strength of your fervent arms,
What matter whether it heals or harms.
You are wise; you take what the Gods have sent.
You ask no question, but rest content
So I am with you to take your kiss,
And perhaps I value you more for this.
For this is Wisdom; to love, to live,
To take what Fate, or the Gods, may give,
To ask no question, to make no prayer,
To kiss the lips and caress the hair,
Speed passion's ebb as you greet its flow,–
To have, — to hold, — and, — in time, — let go!
And this is our Wisdom: we rest together
On the great lone hills in the storm-filled weather,
And watch the skies as they pale and burn,
The golden stars in their orbits turn,
While Love is with us, and Time and Peace,
And life has nothing to give but these.
But, whether you love me, who shall say,
Or whether you, drifting down my way
In the great sad River of Chance and Change,
With your looks so weary and words so strange,
Lit my soul from some hidden flame
To a passionate longing without a name,
Who shall say?
Not I, who am but a broken boat,
Content for awhile to drift afloat
In the little noontide of love's delights
Between two Nights.
Laurence Hope

Re: Teak Forest]
Dear Terhi,
Reading your mails has become a pleasure for me.
There is much to
learn from you. I have to tell this. It seems you have lot of patience and
very good natured in receiving others. I have become a fan of your
literature, I mean your writings, your mails. Lot of information will be
stored in each mail I receive from you. Time lapse doesnt take that
pleasure all the way. I enjoy reading your mail again and again. That
makes me to understand you better. I may not know you before but now I see
a genuine friend in you. I never get back in sharing with you
experiences I come across in day-to-day life. I feel revived and
energised by reading your mails after a weeklong workloads.
Yes, Terhi Tuulikki Koivisto!!!
I saw your picture. And I saved it in my Albums as a friend whom I can
never forget. You are very cool in that picture. Beauty is the other name
of a woman. So I need not tell that you look very sweet and beautiful in
that picture. You are well dressed in that photo. That may be the reason
for Mikko's comments. A cheer or a smile would have brightened the world.
Thats the only thing missing in it. There is not enough background in that
photo. May I know where it is taken? And also the photographer… I think
its a casual photo taken just like that…
In that picture I sent you, I was around 12 yrs. That pic was taken in
Bangalore in front of our house.
Ok, so you live in a two storeyed house. Thats great – too big house. I
never saw a wooden house so far except on TV.
Tiina went to England??? All alone or with somebody else…. And where is
she staying in England. May be she wants to be an English Teacher. Its a
good option. So for four weeks you miss Tiina in Finland….. Are you in
touch with her now… through email or phone….
Terhi, difficult… I dont believe in those words difficult and
impossible…. Make a decision and try to live upto it. It doesnt matter
whether you hit the target or not, what it matters is only whether you
tried to your satisfaction or not. Opportunities dont wait for us. We
should go and grab them. Similarly jobs, we should create the ways through
which we can grab them. We are our own enemies. You know how??? Our brain
generates so many thoughts and feelings that we get tempted to accept them
leaving our work halfway. This really spoils our chances. So whenever we
set a goal we should prepare a path or a plan to reach it. And once we
start our journey we should never look back or stop anywhere in the
middle. Complete the set plan and then only retrospect. That gives good
results.
I appreciate your desire to study. Then why dont you join in a course of
your interest. Its never late to start. Keep doing something all the time
and spend every moment with a wish to double your future chances.
Ok, so Manga is a comic. I too like to watch animated movies and cartoons.
By the way which channels do you watch on TV. I watch Mr. Bean on POGO and
other cartoons on DISNEY. I also watch MTv, CNBC, CNN-IBN etc.,
Almirah is an Anglo-Indian word which means a wardrobe or cupboard. As I
said I have my own wardrobe for my books.
So you and Tiina read novels……
Charles Dickens and Mark Twain are popular names in our Text Books at
School. Yes read few novels: The Great Expectations, Oliver Twist, Life
and Adventures of Nichola Nickleby etc.,
Lawrence Hope… Thats a nice poem. Touches the heart. I know him as L.Hope
Hey, Tiina might be having a big collection of Dickens then…..
If she wants to know something say to her that I will reply back. Anyhow
is Tiina interested in browsing and sending mails???
By the way do you like singing??? I dont sing a lot but love to cultivate
that art.
Yes Terhi I never mind if I get a late reply or mail from you. I
understand your concerns.
Be happy and keep smiling….
Yours Ever Pal
